“... My daughter Catherine attended the program last year and is attending it also this year. She is a very shy little girl but this program has opened her up not only to other students but to her teachers as well…

Catherine is struggling with most of her subjects especially math. I have tried many methods of teaching her Math but nothing seemed to work, but the teachers in the afterschool program got her to learn them. She is finally up to her 9’s. (Thanks CIS )… I think she will pass her 9’s on the 1^st go around.

Mrs. Marilyn is “GREAT” … Catherine will now go to her with any problem she has, no matter how big or small it is. She always has an open ear to the parents and students. Everyone loves her and I know my daughter and I do. She has made a difference in my daughter’s life. We need more people like her in our school system. I believe the afterschool program has taught my daughter to have a better attitude, and to like school better and how to get along with people. The program has not only helped her academically but socially also…

I think all children should have a chance to be involved in this program. I think if Catherine continues to be involved in this program throughout her school years, I know she will succeed in life. That is how much this program has an effect on her life. I hope this program will last a long time, and that my child will have the privilege to attend it.
