  Adopt A School Partnerships

CIS functions as a bridge that enlists, negotiates, and facilitates the delivery of services from communities into our schools where they are more readily accessible to students and their families.

The community partnerships are helping build that bridge by partnering with Communities In Schools and sharing a leading role with helping kids prepare for life.

Volunteer Training Dates

How do you start? The first step to volunteering in the schools is to attend one of the two-hour volunteer orientations. There you will learn about more specific ways of volunteering, communication skills, math strategies, schools rules and policies for volunteers, and who to contact at each school. Each participant will also be required to complete an application and a criminal background check. Once the background check is approved, the volunteer will be contacted by the school(s) in which they indicated an interest.

Come learn about CIS and how you can help make a difference in the life of a child by volunteering.
