Fundraiser Mission:
Lots For Learning engages local real estate developers, Realtors®, mortgage brokers, builders, and attorneys in a giving way (time and/or resources) that is affordable for them and benefits children and families in Brunswick County.

Description of the Fundraiser:
Lots For Learning allows real estate professionals to make a volunteer donation per closing transaction. Through the agreement, participants will be listed in an annual news ad and as a link on the CIS website. Buyers will also receive a Buyer's/Seller's Appreciation Letter from CIS on behalf of the broker, reflecting their partnership with Lots For Learning and support of CIS.
Endorsements:
Lots For Learning is currently endorsed by the North Carolina Association of Realtors®.
Why participate:
The real estate and building industry in our area has been our county's livelihood, and our school system's success is important to this industry. Real estate professionals participation demonstrates to new and existing residents that Brunswick County values its educational services for children and gets involved.
What is the process?
- CIS presents Lots For Learning to the Real Estate Company, Realtor®, developer, builder, mortgage broker and attorney.
- The Real Estate Company, Realtor®, developer, builder, mortgage broker, and attorney pledge with CIS annually to participate in Lots For Learning.
- Each participant determines his/her donation amount.
- The Company sends a donation check on its behalf.
- The participants send a monthly donation check along with the names and addresses of their buyers or sellers.
- CIS writes press releases, features annual newspaper advertisements with names of participating companies and agents, and prepares other marketing materials for Lots For Learning.
Donations are 100% tax deductible, and your participation can be renewed annually.
