CIS Scholarships are provided to encourage students to stay in school and continue their education. Financial need and/or other hardships are taken into consideration when awarding these scholarships. Applicants are also scored on academics, community involvement, extracurricular activities, and interviewing skills.
Academic scholarships are awarded in May to students graduating from The Brunswick County Academy, Early College High School, South Brunswick High School, North Brunswick High School and West Brunswick High School. Scholarship awards are contingent upon verification of acceptance as a full time student to an institution of higher education.
Application and Guidelines
The scholarship applications are processed through the high school guidance counselor. The deadline for Scholarship applications is March 30, 2012. The CIS Scholarship Committee reviews the applications, interviews successful candidates and awards the scholarship at the high school Awards Day ceremony.
